Staffing

Once staff have been offered employment from Fareacres they will undergo a DBS check to check their suitability to work with children. All staff have a minimum of Level 3 training in child care. The settings benefit from a very low staff turnover and sickness record. All staff are sent on regular professional development training run by the Borough. Training needs are identified by the manager through staff observations/supervisions, and also based on individual responsibilities of appointed officer's role each staff carry. All staff ensure high standard of care for all children placed in the Nursery, they give support to other staff and parents within the nursery and implement the daily routine in base room.

Fareacres has an overall Principle; Fahmida Shah B.A (Hons.) & Post Graduate Diploma, an Early Years Teacher; Amy Gammons B.A (Hons) Early Childhood Studies and Early Years Teaching Status. Both the Principle and Early Years Teacher work with both settings. Each setting has a manager on site daily, Hannah Gammons is the named manager of Gants Hill branch and Amy Gammons is the named manager of the South Woodford branch.
